Fun in Seaside!

We had a great week in Seaside last week. This is the beautiful view we got to enjoy every day as we walked to the beach:

In a huge contrast to last summer, Mr. Tanner decided he LOVED the waves!

Tori, as always, enjoyed playing in the sand.


Tanner got a kick out of laying at the edge of the water and being tossed around in the surf!


I captured a sweet little Daddy-Daughter moment on the beach:


One evening after dinner, we enjoyed popsicles...


...followed by a walk on the beach. We grabbed our buckets with the intention of looking for seashells.






But we soon discovered that evenings were perfect for catching CRABS!

So, this became our evening tradition. After dinner, we went to the beach to chase crabs. It was so much fun!



As the week went on, the ocean got more and more green. We learned from one of the locals this is called "June grass." I think it typically comes later in June, but it decided to come in early this year, so here is what the water looked like later in the week... Yuck:

Daddy buried Tanner & Tori in the sand... they thought this was BIG fun!

We had an absolutely fabulous, relaxing and refreshing time away! It was a great way to kick off our summer!
