Today's weights:
Tanner 4 lbs., 13 oz.
Tori 4 lbs., 4 oz.

The babies were moved today from their private room out into an open area of the NICU. I guess this is a good sign as they needed our private room for more critical babies. The nurse told us we would be in our new spot until we go home. The neonatologist was there this evening and he came over to speak with us. He is very pleased with how Tanner & Tori are progressing and said it's now just a matter of time to allow them to further develop. He has weaned Tanner down on his oxygen flow from 2.5 liters to 1.5 liters and he has done well with it so he plans to take it down a little more tomorrow through the weekend and see how he tolerates it. We also found out that Tori is supposed to have her nasal cannula removed in the next couple of days to see how she does without it. It's not really doing much for her anyway since there is no flow and no extra oxygen. She is just breathing room air through it so there's not much of a need for it anymore! After that is removed, all she will have is her feeding tube through her nose, aside from the normal leads on her chest to measure heart rate, respiration and oxygen saturation.

This is getting very exciting! I can't wait to bring them home!!!
