Halloween 2009: Meet the Dino-twins!!!

Well, we survived the big move last week! Just to catch everyone up briefly, the whole house search went south pretty quickly for us, unfortunately. After we received an offer on our house, we checked in on our top 3 houses only to discover they all had contracts on them by that time. So, we began to search for apartments and rent homes to live in temporarily while we waited for the right house to come along. We couldn't find any decent rentals that would rent for less than a year so, after much discussion, we were invited to stay with my mom while we wait it out or decide to build something. So, here we are. The kids are adjusting well and are thoroughly enjoying being at Grammy's house (I'm just hoping I won't have too much spoiling to undo once we move out!).

So needless to say, after all the hard work last week, we were ready for some fun family time!

Tannersaurus and TyranoTori had such a fun night last night! They LOVED their costumes and enjoyed surprising people with their dinosaur sounds. You never knew when to expect a big, "RARRRRRR!" from one of them... it was too funny!!!

I just couldn't resist getting a shot of their tails as they walked with Daddy to the first stop of the night.... Gigi's house!
Linda, aka "Gigi," is one of my mom's neighbors who has older grand kids but loves to spoil little ones like they are her own! She is precious!
Here's Gigi passing out treats to two very eager dinosaurs!

After Gigi's, we made one more stop at our Realtor, Diane's house for more treats and a family photo in her beautiful backyard.

Then, it was off to a Fall Festival at a local church, where we:
Enjoyed our first petting zoo! (Tori adored the bunnies!)
Looked adorable... what a Dino-cutie!
Collected lots of treats for our bags Mommy's sweet tooth!

Once we arrived back home, we stood at the front door and watched the last few trick-or-treaters walk by....

....and enjoyed some of the evening's loot!

After our treats, a quick bath, and a good brushing of the teeth, we were more than ready for some sweet dreaming with our fun Halloween blankets and pillows!
Sleepy girl!
Sleepy little man

We had such a fun night with our little dinosaurs! We've already started trying to come up with ideas for next year's costumes. We're thinking maybe Dr. Seuss' "Thing 1" and "Thing 2" or maybe a family theme like, The Flintstones. If you think of any other ideas, send them our way!

Hi how are you?

I was looking through your blog, and I found it interesting, and inspiring to me, so I thought why not leave you a comment.

I too have a blog that I use out of Southern California here in San Diego.

Mostly it is a collection of artistic expression, and I have many friends with the same interests, maybe you can become my friend, and follow, and I can also follow you, if that is okay.

Well I hope to hear from you soon, and or read about you….LOL

Sincerely,
Jesse

Leah, we did a family of "Things" last year, it was fairly easy and one of our FAVORITES!!!! We all sprayed our hair blue, wore red shirts, and I made the "thing" signs out of white felt and foam letters - the felt had a sticky backing so we just cut it into a circle and put it right onto our red t-shirts!

LOVE the darling dinos!!!
