Father's Day 2009

I love the way he scoops up his little girl as soon as he walks in the door (even if he's still on a call!)......

... and goes on adventures with his little boy...

These are two very LOVED kids with a wonderful Daddy!!

We are soooooo lucky and blessed to have this wonderful man in our lives! It has been the biggest joy of my life to watch him as a Daddy and I know his kids absolutely adore him!

WE LOVE YOU DADDY!!! Happy Father's Day!!!

We had a great day last Sunday celebrating Brad's 2nd Father's Day!! I got the kids up and sent them into our room with a card for him. They were also wearing these adorable ties that they made when they were still in school with their hand prints that I had been saving for him for this occasion.
I tried to get them both in the same picture with their ties, but Tanner was too fast... he was ready to go see Daddy!

Brad thought the ties were adorable and enjoyed his card. Next, I fed the kids breakfast and made Brad a special Father's Day breakfast sandwich while the kids ate their breakfast.

When they finished eating, we delivered Brad's breakfast to him in bed along with a gift.

Brad is going to KILL me for posting this photo, but I thought it was too cute!

Later in the morning, we all got dressed and headed out to take Brad to brunch. The original plan was to go to The Glass Cactus at The Gaylord. They were hosting a Father's Day brunch, but the wait was way too long, so we ended up at The Rainforest Cafe at Grapevine Mills, which turned out to be so much more FUN!!! The kids LOVED it! Tori was a little unsure of all the noises and animals at first, but she warmed right up to it and Tanner was thrilled from the get-go and squealed and pointed at everything the entire time!
Here's Tori's concerned look during one of the "thunder storms"... she's keeping a close eye on the gorillas, making sure they're not real!

Ironically, the thing that did scare Tanner was the waiters walking out with the volcano desserts, each time yelling "VOL-CAAAAAAAA-NOOOOOO!!!" loudly. Our table was right next to the kitchen, so we heard that no less than 10 times while we were there. Every time, he would get this look of sheer terror on his face and reach for one of us to hold him.... poor buddy!

But, here he is with Daddy about to enjoy our VOL-CAAAAAAAAAA-NOOOOOOOO.... once he tasted it, he understood what all the fuss was about! LOL! ;)

Later that evening, Grammy came over to babysit so we could go on a date. We went to see the movie "Up." I can't even remember the last movie I saw in a theater... it's been awhile! We had a great time together and it was a really cute movie! Leave it to us to go see a kid movie on a date! HA!

We had a GREAT Father's Day celebrating the ones we love! Hope you and yours had a good one, too!
