A Full Day

We spent lots of time with the babies today... it was a great day! This morning, we went to the infant CPR class that is offered to NICU parents. After that, I stayed awhile and got to breastfeed Tori and Tanner (for the first time... he did great!) for their 12:00 feeding. Then, we spent quite awhile up there this evening and got to bottle feed Tori for the 6:00 feeding. She's really improving with feeding. She took 22 of 40cc from her bottle before getting worn out! Here's a cute picture from her feeding:

Today's weights:
Tanner 4 lbs., 5 oz.
Tori 3 lbs., 13 oz.

I got to meet the neonatologist while I was there this morning. He told me how well he thinks they're doing and basically said it's just a matter of time and development at this point. He offered no guesses as to when he thinks they'll be discharged. He said he always tells parents to prepare to have their babies there until their due date but he did say that he's seen twins born at our same stage (30 weeks) that have gone home as early as 35-36 weeks. So, if that ended up being the case for us, that would only be 2-3 more weeks because they will be 33 weeks tomorrow (Saturday). I feel like it will be a minimum of 3 more weeks, if not 4.
He also told me not to worry about Tanner and his breathing/oxygen situation. He said these are healthy babies and that it's simply a developmental thing at this point. He said he just needs to get a few more weeks under his belt and we will see drastic improvement in this area, so that made me feel a lot better.

And I couldn't resist... here's another picture of them snuggled up together in their crib!!!!!
