Steamboat Springs: Day One

It was an awesome day in Steamboat today! Here are a couple of gorgeous shots I got from our balcony window this afternoon after the sun decided to come out:




We arrived late yesterday afternoon, just in time to unload, feed the kids dinner and put them to bed, so today was our first official full day here in Steamboat. Here's how our day went:

We started off the morning with a nice cup of "coffee" while watching all the skiers heading up the mountain for the day,
followed by some morning education with Baby Einstein.

After a nice morning nap, Mom got us dressed for the day (here is little miss priss, prancing around in her little pink snow boots - little snow princess!)

And then, the highlight of our day was getting to play in the snow for the very first time! Here are some highlights of the experience:

Tori (our little daredevil/thrill-seeker) LOVED the snow and kept rocking the sled wanting to "go, go, go"..... Tanner, on the other hand, wasn't as impressed with the cold, white stuff and cried on several occasions! Maybe he'll warm up to it as the week progresses.
"I think I'll just observe."
"This is FUN!" (Tori dives face-first into the snow, loving every minute!)
Wait a minute, there's a grin... "Maybe this isn't so bad after all!"

What a great day! Can't wait to see what sort of fun tomorrow will bring! Until then....
