Wow, it's been a busy couple of days but we're settled in at home today recovering from the interruption of our normal routine! Christmas Eve morning, we had Brad's family over for breakfast and gifts. His dad (Grampa Santa), brothers, sisters-in-law, and kids all came over and we had a nice time together. That evening, we had my mom and brother over and Brad made an amazing, yet untraditional, meal - steaks, mashed potatoes & asparagus... it was delicious!!!
Then, Christmas morning, my mom came back over and this time, she did the cooking. She made us omelettes and pancakes for breakfast and we opened the babies gifts for them. Since they are so little this year, we just got them a keepsake gift (their very first Bibles). After breakfast, we loaded up the car and traveled down to my grandmother's ranch where we spent the day with my grandmother, Aunt & Uncle, my 3 cousins, my brother, stepbrother and his new wife! It was quite a house-full but we had a great time! We were excited for my Aunt, Uncle and cousins to meet the twins for the first time and so were they!
We arrived home last night and bathed the babies, fed them, and put them to bed. We didn't hear a single peep out of them until 4 am! They were worn out!
We had a wonderful 1st Christmas with them and look forward to next year with great anticipation!
