Our First Week Home

Well, we survived our first week home with the babies and we're loving every minute of it! Adjusting to our new schedule of less sleep hasn't been too bad either since we're just continuing the feeding schedule they were on in the NICU. And it helps that they are good about falling back to sleep after a feed (that definitely comes in handy at 3 am!). From day one, I've been taking a nap in the afternoon with the babies after the 3 pm feeding and this seems to really help fuel me for the evening. One day, I missed that nap and definitely regretted it so I've decided it's not an option! So, make a note, don't call me between 4-6 pm... haha!

We've had so much fun bonding with and loving on the babies with no wires and no beeping... that is the biggest blessing! That was really beginning to wear on us toward the end so it's nice to be wire-free and beep-free!!!

We had our first appointment with the pediatrician two days after arriving home and he was very pleased with them and said they are very healthy and look great.

Their weights at that appointment were:
Tanner 6 lbs., 12.4 oz.
Tori 6 lbs., 5 oz.

Alright, enjoy the photos of our first week... gotta go feed some hungry babies!

xoxo,
Mommy
